Cursor's recurring city meetup program through 2025–2026 — Lyon, Boston, Atlanta, Salt Lake City, Bern, Bangalore, and more. Format: small, frequent (often weekly), community-organized using a shared template. Effectively the most prolific recurring vibe coding event series in 2025.
What it was
Through 2025, Cursor built out a recurring city-meetup program that
became the most prolific recurring vibe coding event series of the
year. Chapters in Lyon, Boston, Atlanta, Salt Lake City, Bern,
Bangalore, and growing — each running on a community-organizer model
where local volunteers host evening meetups using a shared event
template Cursor publishes via their community page.
The format was deliberately small and frequent: typically 30–80
attendees, evening (6–9pm), free, structured around a short demo +
community-build session. Many cities ran monthly; a few ran weekly.
Why this isn't a typical recap page
Single recap pages usually cover a single event. Cursor's program is
fundamentally different — it's a recurring distributed event series.
Rather than try to cover every meetup individually, this page covers
the program as a whole and links out to specific city events when
they appear in the directory.
Why it mattered
- Distributed beats centralized. Cursor's strategy — many small
- Community-organizer template scales. By providing a template
- The "official partner" provenance flag matters. Cursor's
cursor.com/community, also surfaced via
Lu.ma's cursorcommunity feed) became the canonical reference for
these meetups — a model the Events Directory mirrors with the
"Official partner" provenance flag.
